Episode 06: An invitation, into the labryinth of a strange world

Tenchi is doing a bit of spring cleaning. At the beginning, his apartment is a mess (looks frightenly like my place does every once in a while ^_^;;). But he collects all the magazines and ties them together in stacks, fills up several trash bags, washes a HUGE pile of dishes (built up over the course of several weeks no doubt), cleans the toilet, etc. When Tenchi is finished cleaning up, he then sits down to a nice satisfying cup of tea. That�s when the phone rings, it�s Sasami she sounds upset and cries "Save me!"

Led into the Labyrinth of a Mysterious Land

Tenchi puts the cover on his bed so Sasami can come through the warp hole. She dives through with Ryooki and is very upset. Apparently, all the other girls tried to take the 17,534 yen she made by street entertaining with Ryooki. Flashback to when Ryoko, Aeka, Kiyone, Mihoshi and Washu all snuck into her room, at the same time, but separately, without the others knowing. It is cloudy out and the moon is covered, so it is pitch dark in the room and they can�t see each other. They are trying to get Sasami�s piggy bank, which is on her bed and looks just like a (very worried) miniature Guardian. They all reach for it at the same time, when suddenly the moon comes out from behind the clouds. They all see each other and cry out. Sasami then wakes up and wonders what everyone is doing. Everyone pleads with her to lend them money. Sasami panics and that, she tells Tenchi, was when she ran away. Tenchi knows how the others can be but tells Sasami she can�t very well stay with him, after all, he has to go to school the next day and everything.  He asks what she is going to do. Sasami decides to spend the money.

In another place, Yuugi is apparently monitoring the proceedings. She remarks that an interesting girl has come and wonders if Sasami will play with her. She will invite Sasami to her world. Yuugi then calls for Tsugaru ( a feminine looking young man in a big, loose shirt with long sleeves), who promptly appears before her.

Tenchi and Sasami are walking around town shopping. She considers buying some fancy looking chocolates. Ryooki spots what she thinks is a cart full of carrots and dives for them, but they aren�t real and fall all over the place. Tenchi and Sasami laugh at Ryooki. Tenchi looks at Sasami and smiles, he remarks that it�s like they�re out on a date. Sasami blushes. Then they go off shopping once again. As they walk along we see Yuugi suddenly appear behind them, watching. Sasami gets a strange feeling and turns, but nothing is there. Yuugi has disappeared.

Sasami is hurrying from store to store and Tenchi can�t keep up. Sasami goes into an antique shop. After she enters, the door is suddenly blocked off with bricks, she doesn�t notice. When Tenchi finally arrives at the place where the shop is the door is gone so he doesn�t know Sasami went inside, he wonders where she�s gone to.

Sasami is looking at all the interesting objects in the store. The store clerk suddenly comes up behind her, it�s Tsugaru! He asks if Sasami if she has found something she likes. Ryooki takes an instant disliking to him and growls at him. Tsugaru notes that Ryooki seems to be bothered, Sasami tells him that she isn�t always like that. Tsugaru asks Sasami to let him know if she finds something she likes.

Outside, Tenchi is searching for Sasami. Someone taps him on the shoulder, at first he thinks it is Sasami, but it is Sakuya. "What a coincidence, are you shopping?" she then asks if he has some free time. He tells her no, not exactly. She asks him to come with her for just a minute, so he does.

Inside the shop, Sasami and Ryooki find a music box with two glass figures on top, a pair of lovers it appears, facing each other, holding onto each other�s outstretched hands. Sasami reaches for it, suddenly Yuugi is there reaching for the music box as well, Sasami looks up in surprise. The music box starts playing. We see Sasami and Yuugi, each with a hand on the music box looking at each other, then there is a close up of the glass figures. The scene then changes to Tenchi and Sakuya, standing outside in a court yard facing each other. The way they are standing makes them look an awful lot like the glass figurines, but they are not holding hands.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch�Ryoko�s stomach growls, she�s hungry. Everyone at home is missing Sasami, or rather, her cooking, and wonder she�s gone to. Aeka says it�s everyone else�s fault for trying to take Sasami�s money. Ryoko starts arguing with her about the fact that she was also trying to take the money. Ryoko�s stomach growls again and she says she doesn�t have the strength to fight. Mihoshi volunteers to make supper. Kiyone then proceeds to describe the disaster Mihoshi would make of the kitchen were she to go in there. Mihoshi calls Kiyone mean and says she wouldn�t do that. Everyone looks at Mihoshi as if they rather doubt it. Suddenly, they notice a delicious smell coming from the kitchen. They wonder who�s cooking. It�s Washu, wearing a frilly apron and carrying a covered platter. Everyone is shocked and look hungrily at what she�s carrying, it  smells delicious. Mihoshi seems honestly, very impressed that she prepared the meal without destroying it. Kiyone says that Mihoshi is the one who would do that. Kiyone remarks that she didn�t know Washu could cook. Washu tells her she can�t, everyone�s faces fall. She said she thought she�d give it a try. Whatever is under the platter starts moving and tentacles come out from underneath the cover. Everyone else is looking more and more disgusted. Washu asks if some one will taste it to see how the seasoning is, she starts uncovering it and more tentacles and 3 or 4 eyes appear. Everyone starts screaming.

In the antique store, Yuugi asks Sasami if she wants the music box and hands it to her. Yuugi introduces herself to Sasami and Sasami introduces herself and Ryooki to Yuugi. Ryooki doesn�t appear at all bothered by Yuugi. Sasami and Yuugi play together in the store for a while. Sasami buys the music box, Tsugaru rings her up. Yuugi says, "We�re friends, right?" Sasami, a bit surprised, says yes. Yuugi then invites Sasami to come to her place to play. Sasami is hesitant. Yuugi runs to the back of the store. Sasami tells her that the exit is the other way but Yuugi tells her that this way is fine. A mirror appears behind Yuugi and she steps through it telling Sasami to hurry.  Sasami goes through the looking-glass ( I couldn�t resist ^_^) and finds herself in a long brick hallway. Yuugi is down the hall calling for Sasami to follow. Sasami starts toward her and the floor disappears and she falls. She awakens in Yuugi�s world. Yuugi asks her "Shall we play here?" But Sasami says she has a bad feeling about the place, a "dark" feeling. Yuugi reacts rather strangely to that description, as if she�s surprised to hear it described that way.  Sasami wants to look for an exit and, taking Yuugi�s hand, starts running. A shadow is following them. Tsugaru, dressed in pirate�s outfit complete with billowy shirt and eye patch, suddenly appears in front of them and asks where they are going. He tells them this is the mirror world and they can�t get out. He lungs at them with a saber. Sasami grabs Yuugi and runs calling for help.

In the courtyard, we see Tenchi startled by something Sakuya has just said. Sakuya is looking down at her feet. The shot pulls back and we see Tenchi say something to Sakuya but we can�t hear what is said. Sakuya then runs away and Tenchi looks upset.

There is a slash and the music box falls to the ground, the two figures cleaved apart. Sasami and Yuugi fall to the ground. Sasami yells at him, telling Tsugaru to send them back. He tells her that they can�t leave yet, they have to play some more. Sasami tells him not to joke. He tells her that in order for her to do something like leave, she must die! Tsugaru dives at Sasami with his saber and she dives aside. He slashes at her several times, missing by just a hair as Sasami dodges him. Ryooki bits Tsugaru�s hand and he drops it. Tsugaru then takes a blade that looks a bit like a boomerang from his shirt sleeve and throws it. It heads straight for Yuugi. Sasami protects her and gets hurt, Yuugi seems a bit suprised by that. Ryooki gets really pissed and transforms into the infamous pink Mecha. Ryooki attacks Tsugaru, batting him with her huge paw. Tsugaru is hurt and retreats. He disappears, saying he�ll remember this. Sasami tells Ryooki to make an exit. Ryooki sends a  blast of energy upward and the mirror breaks. They emerge on the street in front of the store. The store disappears behind them.

Tenchi then runs up, saying how worried he had been and that she shouldn�t go off alone. Sasami introduces Tenchi to her new friend, Yuugi. Yuugi then presents Sasami with the music box, whole and in one piece. Sasami is surprised but pleased, she says she was certain it had broken. The music box starts playing. Yuugi says that music boxes are sad. However happy a song a music box might play, eventually, the time always comes when it stops.

Tenchi looks at the music box, listening to the music and remembers back to his conversation with Sakuya. Sakuya is asking Tenchi to go steady with her. He nervously tells her that he isn�t in a position to do that right now and that he�s sorry� "So it�s no I guess", she says. He responds "No! It�s just�," but Sakuya is already running away crying.

Back to the present, Yuugi says "See you later!" to Sasami and runs off, leaving Tenchi and Sasami standing in front of the place where the shop used to be.

Meanwhile, at the house, everyone is dying of hunger (or acting like they are ^_^). Ryoko mutters Sasami�s name and then everyone says, "Please come back!"
