Tenchi's dad has a bit of a tendency to be a peeping tom, or a pervert ^_^. When he first sees Ryoko in Tenchi's room, one would think he might be angry and confront Tenchi... no such luck here ! Instead he grabs a video camera and starts taping !!! By profession Tenchi's dad is an architect and the house that they live in is Nobuyuki and Achika's ( Tenchi's mom ) dream house.
Tenchi's dad, following along his eccentric lines is also a collector of shoujo manga ( girls' comics ), which causes big trouble in the Tenchi Special: "The Night before the Festival".
Overall, I think Nobuyuki's the only one that has a regular income for the Tenchi family.
Nobuyuki as a Teenager The Nobuyuki we see in Tenchi Muyo in Love is an amazingly different character (cuter, I have to say... it suprised Ryoko in the beginning when she first met him). Although he still likes to play with electronice ( back then it was an 8mm camera he used to tape Achika ) he is also extremely shy and very clean cut! What happened you ask?!? I'm guessing that without Achika around to keep him in line he strayed from the path just a bit ^_~ Even though he later becomes a pervert he demonstrates courage and love towards both Achika and Tenchi in their family struggle against the evil entity known as Kain. Nobuyuki's voice actor for the Japanese OAV is
